Amazon Quick is now generally available on desktop

September 28, 2026

AWS has announced the general availability of the Amazon Quick desktop application for macOS and Windows. The solution provides enterprise users with an AI assistant that can work with information across business systems, support research, prepare deliverables, automate tasks, and take actions on behalf of users.

AWS is also expanding the Amazon Quick mobile experience. A new activity feed for iOS and Android consolidates information from email, calendars, CRM, and messaging systems into a single prioritized view.

An AI assistant built for enterprise work

The number of tools employees use every day continues to grow. Information can be distributed across email, calendars, CRM platforms, messaging applications, and other enterprise systems.

Amazon Quick is designed to bring these workflows together with AI.

Users can make requests in natural language, while Quick uses available enterprise context to find relevant information and help complete work.

Its capabilities extend beyond those of a conventional AI chat assistant. Quick can work across information from multiple systems, create deliverables, update records, and execute follow-up actions.

Available on Windows, macOS, and mobile devices

The Amazon Quick desktop application is now generally available for Windows and macOS.

This brings Quick directly into users’ everyday working environments. For example, an employee can ask the assistant to prepare for a customer meeting, collect relevant context from enterprise sources, and create a meeting brief.

The same workflow can continue on a mobile device and later be resumed on a desktop computer, providing a consistent work experience across devices.

Prioritizing what requires attention

One of the additions to the Amazon Quick mobile experience is the activity feed.

It consolidates information from email, messaging, CRM systems, and calendars.

Instead of presenting another chronological stream of notifications, Quick is designed to identify which items actually require the user’s attention.

Tasks that AI agents can resolve independently do not need to add to the user’s notification workload. What remains is a more focused queue of decisions and actions requiring human involvement.

Moving from answers to completed work

A central idea behind Amazon Quick is the transition from AI that simply provides answers to AI that can help complete work.

Quick can synthesize information across enterprise systems, prepare documents and other deliverables, update records, and execute follow-up actions.

For example, before a customer meeting, an employee can ask Quick to prepare a brief. The AI assistant can collect relevant context and generate a deliverable for the employee to review.

After the meeting, Quick can help prepare a customer follow-up, update relevant information, and organize the next actions.

A shared workspace for teams

Amazon Quick also provides teams with a shared workspace.

Dashboards, AI agents, and automations created by one user can be made available to other members of the team. This allows organizations to reuse AI-powered workflows instead of requiring every employee to create their own processes from scratch.

For large enterprises, this provides a way to scale AI use cases across different teams, roles, and business functions.

Enterprise security and governance

Amazon Quick runs on AWS infrastructure and is designed for enterprise environments.

According to AWS, organizational data remains within the customer’s environment and user conversations remain private.

Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail provide audit capabilities, giving IT organizations visibility into system activity.

AWS also highlights support for compliance programs and certifications including HIPAA, FedRAMP, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.

Amazon Quick in practice

Organizations across manufacturing, healthcare, and sports used Amazon Quick on desktop during the preview period.

AWS highlights customers including Southwest Airlines, Labcorp, and PGA TOUR.

Use cases include working with enterprise information, market analytics, creating AI agents, rapidly prototyping internal solutions, and automating everyday business processes.

Conclusion

The general availability of Amazon Quick for Windows and macOS expands the ways organizations can bring enterprise AI directly into employees’ daily workflows.

Quick combines an AI assistant, enterprise information sources, agents, and automation within a single working environment.

The goal is not only to help users find information faster, but also to allow them to delegate parts of routine work to AI — from meeting preparation and data analysis to creating deliverables and executing follow-up actions.
